Greetings Marines, Here are some T.I.P.S. from Mick. They will be posted on the Message Board of our Official Website, 223vietnameraassociation.homestead.com. All the links may not appear. Get in touch with Eddie or me with questions.
Hope you are all doing well and enjoying life! The attachment below (pages 1-7) is a great place to start booking your spots for our 2/3 VVA Reunion in New Orleans, LA. There WILL be pleasant surprises.
To be a Member in Good Standing of 2/3 VVA, you MUST be current with your dues. To determine your dues status, please contact Secretary Treasurer Eddie Krieser. His email address is above. At the bottom of this page is a safe to open link to the seven pages. One of the pages is a 2/3 VVA Membership Application. If you are a Member in Good Standing of 2/3 VVA, you may want to print the Application, fill it out and mail it to Eddie to verify and update your personal info.
Of course, DD-214s are required only for Marines seeking New Membership in our Association and are unable to list any foxhole buddies from USMC 2/3 RVN.
To attend Reunion 2026 you MUST at least pay Annual Dues to the Third Marine Division Association (TMDA). The TMDA Application is also in the seven pages of the link at the bottom of this email.
We are continuing to review our records to determine who are Members in Good Standing of 2/3 VVA (roughly 100 are Members in Good Standing) and who are to be "archived". Along the way we've found inactive email accounts, incorrect addresses and disconnected phone numbers. Eddie has found some past Members who are deceased or suspected of being deceased. We have begun to US Mail all who can't be contacted any other way. It is important to keep current with 2/3 VVA dues. It is important also to update your info with Our Association. We now encourage all to list a "next of kin" contact. We'll reach out to them if we haven't heard from a Member in a while and can't directly contact him. For those who have no email address (there are a few) we ask that you provide an email address of someone (partner, wife, son, daughter, etc.) who can pass on to the Member info from the Association to the email address that the Member designates.
I will be in NOLA w/o Barbara. She's got some substantial family issues she must deal with over the next 5-6 months and more.. I will not sign up for the "Ice Cream Social" or "French Quarter and Bourbon Street" Tour taking place in NOLA.
To find out who is attending NOLA 2026 go to caltrap.org Then click on "Third Marine Division Association 2026 Reunion". Then click on "Reunion Activity Registration Form", Then click on "Register Now". Then click on "View Attendees". The list updates every 1 to 5 days. Registrations via internet are posted every day. Registrations by mail take 5 or so days.
We welcome your comments and suggestions. We welcome volunteers too. "G" and "H" Companies have no Representatives. Eddie Krieser wears the TWO hats of Secretary AND Treasurer.
