Mick's Mass Email sent today

by Donna Fuller on 03/13/26

Mick's Mass Email sent today to ALL Marine and Associate Members of our 3-3 Vietnam Veterans Association.  Please spread the word so all 2-3 Marines (RVN) know that we (2-3 VVA) are very much still in the game.  Our friendly doors are open to any new or past Members.

ATTACHED ARE 3 SAFE-TO-OPEN LINKS CONTAINING THE INFO YOU'LL NEED TO SIGN UP FOR the 2/3 Vietnam Veterans Association Annual Reunion to be held 29 September to 4 October, 2026 within the 3rd Marine Division Association Annual Reunion in New Orleans, LA.
My apologies for any large gaps between words in the email and to anyone getting multiple copies of this email.
Some Notes:
  • The Double Tree Hotel has a liberal cancellation policy (24 hours in advance of first room date).  Armed Forces Reunions Incorporated (AFRI) has a different cancellation policy.   AFRI is handling the 2026 Reunion Registration.
  • Register early for both Hotel and AFRI.  Cut off date for hotel reservations is 8 September 2026 and  is 15 August 2026 for AFRI Reunion Registration.
  • There is a change to the form "TMDA Schedule of Events".                                                                                  Delete  "Thursday - October 1 - 1000 - 2/3 VVA Meeting".                                                                                                                     Insert "Wednesday - September 30 - 1700 - 2/3 VVA Officers Meeting".                                                                    It's up to each Company or Supporting Unit to send a Representative.  If your Company Representative won't be attending the Reunion, then select an Alternate to attend this Meeting.  Currently "G" and "H" Companies are unrepresented.  The Secretary and Treasurer Offices are combined into Secretary/Treasurer.  Marine Members who are not Officers may attend this Meeting to observe.  Because it worked so well last year and is provided for in our By-Laws, Members may be given voice by the Officers to speak briefly at this Officers Meeting.
  • Covered in previous Mass Emails, 2/3 VVA Marine Members and Associate Members MUST be Members in Good Standing of TMDA (paid up dues) to attend this Reunion.  IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU FILL OUT THE TMDA MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION and MAIL IT TO TMDA  WITH YOUR CHECK OR MONEY ORDER AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE.  Remember, as a Member Marine or Associate Member in Good Standing of TMDA, you are encouraged to bring your Guests to the Reunion.  OF COURSE, MEMBERSHIP FEES don't apply to your GUESTS attending the 2026 Reunion with you.  With few exceptions, TMDA Registration Fees apply to all 2026 Reunion Attendees, Members and Guests.
  • It's highly recommended that you always remain a MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING of 2/3 VVA.  If you can, try to pay for multiple years.  With your dues payment please update and verify all your contact information.  Please include your next of kin and relationship, their address, phone and email.  If we haven't heard from you in a while we'll try every way we can to reach out to Members in Good Standing.  If our efforts fail, we'll contact your next of kin to determine your whereabouts.  Your new Membership Card will reflect your Membership expiration date.  To inquire about your dues status contact Secretary/Treasurer Eddie Krieser.  In the last week we found that two former Members of 2/3 VVA expired.  They chose not to be Members in Good Standing of 2/3 VVA.  Please remember 2/3 Marines (RVN) Charles Chesney and Allan Clemons in your prayers.  May They Rest in Eternal Peace.
  • I likely won't attend the "Ice Cream Social" on Friday, October 2.
  • Also, the "Town Hall Meeting"  on October 2 doesn't look attractive to me.  It might have some appeal to Marines that are new to TMDA.  On my schedule are two 2/3 VVA meetings, the TMDA Membership Meeting and the TMDA Scholarship Fund Meeting.  What's that they say about "all work and no play........"?
  • Merchandise (merch).  If you purchase merchandise from TMDA it will likely have a TMDA theme.
  • QUESTION.  How many of you 2026 Reunion Attendees would like to see your 2-3 VVA come up with a USMC 2/3 themed polo shirt and/or cap?  Please respond at your earliest convenience with your name and the number of shirts and/or caps you would like to purchase if you like the design and price that's offered.  We'll need this information soon if we are to begin designing, ordering and manufacturing.
Hope to see y'all in NOLA!  HAPPY 250th BIRTHDAY U.S.A.!  Semper Fidelis  Mick
