Charlie Baldwin has passed away

by Donna Fuller on 12/02/14

News from Ron Poness:

Charlie Baldwin passed away in September. He was a former member of this association and attended several of the first reunions until his health failed. Charlie was with 2/3 several times in his career. He was a platoon sergeant in Hotel Company in 63-64 - really a great guy and Marine.

News From Eddie Wyatt

by Donna Fuller on 11/24/14

Art Ferguson just received a timely e-mail from Eddie Wyatt. Eddie stated that he had undergone 8 sessions of chemotherapy and awaits the results from his PET scan on November 24, 2014. Eddie was hoping to be cancer free, but will still have to undergo 8 more chemotherapy sessions. For the time being, he notes that he “has a lot less hair, skin looks like hell, but I feel pretty good.”

The good news is Eddie received information today from his wife that the results of his PET scan show the cancer in his neck is gone, but there remain a few lymph node areas showing cancer. The doctor reports that in those cases, they had shrunk by 50%.

If anyone would like to send get-well cards to Eddie, his address is:

102 Vermont St.

Stanley, NC  28164.

Art asks all of our members to pray for his swift recovery.

Vote on the 2015 Las Vegas Reunion Venue

by Donna Fuller on 11/23/14

The association treasurer Art Ferguson has narrowed the choice of venue for the 2015 reunion in Las Vegas to two casinos: The Excalibur and Sam’s Club and is submitting the final choice to the membership for a vote. The vote will be conducted by mail-in ballot.

He sent a spreadsheet detailing the facts of the two packages out to the emails that he has on file, but several of those email addresses are no longer valid. If you did not get this email, are a member, and wish to vote, go to the “Contact Us” page to give Art Ferguson either the email address or physical address you would like to have the details and ballot sent to.

If you have any questions, please contact either Art Ward at 1-860-589-4838 or Art Ferguson at 1-623-780-1819.
