What do you think Dave? I think this is a good way for us to communicate. It can serve as a message board and we can also get information out to our members after advising them on how to use it.

We will need to get this information out to our members. Mick suggested that we password protect the message board to protect against people that are not in our organization. I don't know if we can do that but Eric has been informed.

I think password protection is a great idea!!!!! This should be our board not open to everybody. I think if you are not a member you should not be given the password ergo not allowed on the board. My personal opinion only, I will go along with whatever the majority wants.

Probably a good idea to have password protection, question is can Eric set it up? If so, members would need to contact an officer to make sure they are members and to get the password. Fergy and Art Ward have membership lists, if I get one will be more than happy to help facilitate. at this point it hinges on Webmaster Eric.

I talked to Patty Ward this afternoon and she stated that the Surgeons said it was a successful surgery. He was still in ICU when I called. She stated that Art hadn't been feeling well and was staggering around the house. They took him to the Doctor and they later sent him to the Hospital. The Doctors stated that it could have been a lot worse had he suffered a heart attack.

Good News. Received word from Susan Wyatt today: "Eddie & I went to hear the results of the CT Scan taken this past Friday. We got great news. The cancer is still gone from his lungs and there is a small amount still in his right lymph node. Getting 3 weeks off from Chemo has really helped Eddie to start healing. Rash has improved, sores on feet have improved, nose bleeds have stopped. We had Erbitux and Paxil today and the Chemo treatments have been scheduled through March.
Again, we thank God for Eddie's great progress and ask that you continue your prayers for us. It means so much to us that people care."
Thanks for your prayers Marines.

News on Eddie Wyatt: Susan stated "Today at Chemo they left off the Taxol due to side effects Eddie is experiencing. He did receive the Erbitux. Eddie will have Chemo March 16th & then he will be schedules for another scan. No date has been set yet for the scan. Treatments after this will be based on the results of the scan. We found out today that Eddie's Oncologist (Dr. Frenette) is out for an undetermined amount of time for family emergency medical leave. Eddie has been assigned Dr. Carizosa (head & neck specialist) at Levine Main until Dr. Frenette returns. We ask for prayers for Dr. Frenette & his family that God will be with them during their crisis. Doctor Frenette is a wonderful doctor who Eddie & I feel very confident with. We hope he can return soon to continue his work with Cancer Patients. Keep the prayers coming, Eddie and Susan need them.

News from Susan Wyatt: Eddie is dealing with a lot of side effects from both the Chemo and the Radiation. It is making it difficult for him to eat any solid foods right now. He is dealing with a condition called Mucositis (is the painful inflammation and ulceration of the mucous membranes lining the digestive tract, usually as an adverse effect of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment for cancer. Mucositis can occur anywhere along the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, but oral mucositis refers to the particular inflammation and ulceration that occurs in the mouth. Oral mucositis is a common and often debilitating complication of cancer treatment. There is not a lot they can do for this condition while he is undergoing Radiation. He really did not want the feeding tube and he has not started using it yet but he said he was glad he had it.
Again we greatly need your prayers at this time. He has got mine. God Bless Eddie Wyatt.

Received news from Susan Wyatt regarding Eddie Wyatt. She stated that today (Jun 17, 2015) Eddie completed his radiation treatments (35 in all). She stated that first, they wanted to give God the glory. We know he made this possible and was besides us all the way. Second, we want to sincerely thank everyone for their prayers and their encouragement, this has meant so much to us knowing people care.
It will be one year in August that they discovered that Eddie had cancer. The nurse stated that it will take at least a year to recover. They are waiting for there appointment with their oncologist to find out what his future plans are. Prayers work!!
