Private First Class Bruce Wayne Carter (H/2/3, U.S.M.C.) earned the Medal of Honor (posthumously) on 7 August 1969 for his actions in Quang Tri Provence, Republic of Vietnam. Panel 20W, Row 107 on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, D.C.
Pfc. Carter was one of three Marines of 2/3 who earned the Medal of Honor in the Vietnam War.
