Had a conversation with the President of Echo 2/3 Association a few days ago. It was a very cordial
conversation and we both have hopes of some type of reconciliation between our two associations.
Unfortunately Echo's reunion in 2017 is already locked in for Camp Lejuene, N. C. for early May of
2017, but there is a chance that some of their members may be able to visit with us in San Antonio
at our reunion. Both Bill Smith (Echo 2/3 President, not LtCol Bill Smith, too many Smith's to keep
track) and I hope that there is a path forward so that all members of 2/3 can share our Marine Corps
and Vietnam memories/experiences with one another.
